A Year of Growth, Grace and Greater Unity

Ladysmith once again came alive with the sound of praise as believers from across the region gathered for United in Worship 2025, the fourth installment of this annual celebration of fellowship and faith. What began as a local initiative has grown into a powerful movement — uniting churches, inspiring hearts, and reaffirming the strength found in shared worship.

This year’s event drew participants from seven (7) local churches, representing not only Ladysmith but also communities from Estcourt and Colenso. The atmosphere was electric with anticipation, as familiar faces and new friends joined together to lift their voices in worship and gratitude.

Event Highlights

The evening opened with a warm welcome from Victory Chapel’s worship team, setting the tone for an unforgettable night centered on unity and devotion. Worship teams from Victory Chapel, WOF Ministries, Sinai Ministries, River of Life, Estcourt Cornerstone, Christian Revival Centre Colenso, and Harvest Evangelical Church led powerful, spirit-filled sessions that filled the auditorium with heartfelt praise and an attitude of worship.

Throughout the evening, the message of “One Body, One Spirit, One Purpose” resonated deeply - reminding everyone that, though we come from different congregations, we are united in Christ.

A special segment of the event focused on intercessory prayer - for families, communities, and the nation. The prayer leaders emphasized hope, healing, and revival, and many attendees shared testimonies of answered prayers from past United in Worship gatherings.

One example was of a couple that could not have children. After prayer and prophecy at last year's gathering, this year that couple had a child.

Following the first session, an interval took place where people enjoyed refreshments and fellowship, creating a space for conversation, laughter, and genuine connection. It was more than a refreshment break — it was a moment of family in faith, where barriers between churches dissolved into shared joy.

This year’s memorial tribute remembered those who recently passed on, including Mr. Jacques Pretorious (a physics educator who passed away in June this year from a heart attack. He was a member of Rivers of Life and a part of their worship team) and Mr. Jeffery Dennis Pillay (a member of Victory Chapel, who passed away in a freak accident, just a week before the event).

Outcomes and Achievements

United in Worship 2025 not only deepened spiritual connections but also expanded its reach and impact:

Saw involvement from new churches and regional communities (there were appoximately 700 people who attended and about 12 churches present at the event including, Victory Chapel, Word of Faith Ministries, Sinai Ministries, River of Life, Conerstone Estcourt, Colenso CRC, Beacon Fellowship, The Methodist Church, The Baptist Church and many others). We also saw strengthened bonds among church leaders and ministries through joint worship and planning.

Many attendees testified to renewed faith, healing, and encouragement and discussions began on collaborative outreach initiatives for 2026, focused on youth empowerment and community care.

Gratitude and Acknowledgements

We extend heartfelt thanks to Word of Faith Ministries for providing us with a beautiful venue to host this impactful event, the worship teams whose passion and excellence created an atmosphere of divine encounter, the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every detail was handled with care - including those of the sound and technical team, and to every attendee - your presence, prayers, and praise made United in Worship 2025 a true success.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on this incredible journey, we stand amazed at what God continues to do through unity. The vision for United in Worship 2026 is already unfolding - with plans to involve more churches, youth ministries, and local outreach programs. Together, we aim to extend the message of hope beyond the walls of our churches and into the heart of our community.

United in Worship 2025 was not just an event - it was a declaration that faith, when united, moves mountains. As we move forward, may the spirit of unity, love, and worship continue to strengthen and inspire us all.
