Ikhaya Lethu Outreach 2025 – A Day of Impact, Worship, and Community Love
Victory Chapel Outside Ikhaya Lethu in Colenso
On Saturday, 07 December 2025, Victory Chapel — together with our hardworking Youth Department — visited Ikhaya Lethu Colenso Children’s Home for a day filled with joy, ministry, and meaningful support.
This outreach was made possible through the generosity of several sponsors who donated items, food, funds, and their prayers.
We express our deepest gratitude to every donor who helped bring hope, laughter, and love to the children. Your kindness made a visible and lasting impact.
What we did on the day
Our youth team and volunteers spent quality time with the children and house mothers. The atmosphere was filled with joy, worship, and fellowship. Some of the highlights of the outreach included:
Worship & Songs
- We sang worship songs together, creating a warm and uplifting environment.
- Our youth performed a dance to the song "Praise" by Elevation Worship, bringing excitement and energy to the children.
- Everyone joined in on classic Sunday School songs like “Father Abraham”, creating beautiful shared moments of fun and connection through action.
Testimonies & Prayer
- Members of our youth shared heartfelt testimonies to encourage the children.
- A prayer session was held for anyone who felt led to come forward.
- Our team prayed with the children individually, offering comfort and spiritual support.
These moments reminded us that ministry is not only about giving resources — it’s about giving time, love, and encouragement.
Summary of how your contributions made an impact
Because of the incredible support from our donors, we were able to provide for the practical needs of the children and house mothers in a meaningful way.
Here is what your contributions achieved:
- 120 care packs were prepared and delivered to the children.
- Care packs were also given to the house mothers and the pastor overseeing the home.
- 20 litres of soup and 20 loaves of bread were delivered, helping provide meals.
- Toys, clothing, and teddy bears were handed to the house mothers for fair distribution.
- 2 buckets of biscuits and packs of juices were provided as treats for the children.
- All remaining donor funds were handed to the pastor to support ongoing needs within the homes.
Every donation — whether items or cash — contributed directly to the day’s success.
Gratitude for your contributions
On behalf of Victory Chapel, thank you for making this outreach possible. Your kindness went far beyond donations; you helped us deliver love, hope, and God’s presence to those who needed it.
